Error: eSIM Cannot Be Added – Code No Longer Valid

⚠️ Possible Causes


If you see the message “eSIM Cannot Be Added. This code is no longer valid. Contact your network provider for more information,” it means the activation code may have already been used, or there was an issue when scanning the QR code — often due to unstable internet.


✅ Here’s how to solve it:


Step 1: Check if the eSIM is already installed


Go to your device’s SIM settings and confirm whether the eSIM has already been added. If so, there’s no need to reinstall it.


Step 2: Make sure you’re connected


Ensure your device is connected to a strong and stable internet or WiFi connection before trying again.


Step 3: Confirm your device can still add eSIMs


Some devices have a limit on how many eSIMs they can store. If you’ve reached the limit, you may need to delete an old one before adding a new eSIM.


If scanning the QR code still doesn’t work, try entering the eSIM details manually:


Apple


1. Go to [Settings] > [Cellular/Mobile Service] > [Add eSIM]

2. Tap [Use QR code]

3. Click [Enter Details Manually]

4. Enter the ‘SM-DP+ Address’ and ‘Activation Code’ provided in the email. (Please make sure you don't paste with https:// or http://)

5. Your eSIM plan will be activated automatically once the details are set

Samsung


1. Go to [Settings] > [SIM Card Manager] > [Add eSIM]

2. Tap [Scan QR code] > [Enter activation code]

3. Enter the ‘Activation Code’ provided in the email. (Please make sure you don't paste with https:// or http://)

4. Click “Add”

5. Your device will automatically start the activation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

Google


1. Go to [Settings] > [Network & Internet] > [SIMs]

2. Select [+Add SIM] > [Download a new eSIM]

3. Tap [Need help?] > [Enter it manually]

4. Enter the ‘Activation Code’ provided in the email. (Please make sure you don't paste with https:// or http://)

5. Your eSIM plan will be activated automatically once the details are set
